Persistent Faith accomplishes what God has prepared for you to do! The men who landed at Omaha Beach, or the men who shared the experiences of Louis Zamparini and all those alike, may wonder the unquestionable, why? Who can clearly answer! Some suffer greatly, some less painfully but all suffer some. The Persistence of our faith is what matters most.
“And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is cruelly demon-possessed.”
All men may feel distant at times and disconnected from God and we fear, “who will listen to me?” “But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us.” But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” William Wallace asked his men: “Will you fight!” The word persistence means against all odds, not just sometimes but in all times. Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed at once. When the odds favor your defeat, will you fight? The Marines say, “first we die, then we give in.” Ain’t it so!
