There are no words that can rightfully explain why a man does not pursue all that God intended him to be. No other reasonable pursuit of some contrived ideal that is contrary to this undertaking can be accepted. No human nerve or frailty that can subjugate us from this success. It says in Hebrews 2:14 “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death,” Very simply said, we are more than conquerors in our pursuit to become all, and as much as, what God intended for us to become as men. For one man to say to another – I could not strap it up today, I could not saddle up, I could not fight on for victory, I could not give you my very best; because, the temptations to be a weak, self-centered and selfish man were just too great, so tantalizing, that I could not turn them down. This does not work with your boss, your clients, your teammates, coach or girlfriend. It does not work with your friends, your wife or the children, any children. Why then, would we consider that God would accept such things? How could he and why would we even consider it possible, yet we all offer up such lines everyday; and, He responds to us in our frailty with the single solitary word “Again!” like in the movie Miracle, He forces us to repeat the ground we have already traveled over until we learn the right answer to: “Who do you play for?” Ain’t it so!
